We want all of our fans to have an enjoyable and safe experience at Jazz on the Hill. Please help us ensure everyone's security, comfort, and convenience by following these rules. Thank you and enjoy the Festival!

General Questions

Jazz On The Hill is a FREE community event...NO tickets are required.

Seating is first come, first served. There are a limited number of chairs, but there are large lawns areas....bring a blanket and/or lawn chair.

As the event gets closer, we will update with a weather forecast for this day

Dress in layers, it tends to get chilly/windy in the late afternoon on campus

Regular Saturday Campus Activities

Farmers Market, Northern CA Motorcycle Training & San Bruno Dog Obedience School

The Farmers Market (9a-1p), the Northern Motorcyle Training (8a-5p) held in (upper) Hillsdale Lot 1 and San Bruno Dog Obedience Classes (8:30a-12:30p) held in (lower) Hillsdale Lot 1 will be in business as usual, same location, same hours.

This means close parking will be limited. Come early to be sure to get your space!

General Policies


Parking, traffic regulations, and the California Vehicle Code are enforced under the authority of Section 21113A CVC*. Consistent or flagrant violations may cause the vehicle to be towed away at the owner's expense. No parking in red zones, disabled vehicle spaces without a permit, or blocking fire hydrants will be strictly enforced at all times.

Parking on campus for Jazz On The Hill will be FREE in all lots EXCEPT in Beethoven Lot 2 (in designated San Mateo Athletic Lot Area) and where specifically noted. Lots that are closed to the public will have signs clearly posted.


Smoking is prohibited on College of San Mateo campus, however, smoking is permited in the parking lots.

Cell Phones

All cell phones must be turned off during performances
